through trial and error are long remembered. But for
the ophthalmologist intent on a successful optical
dispensary, trial and error is a slow and costly way
to climb the learning curve. Learning from others
is far more efficient and painless.
Over the years, I've learned
about dispensing from consultants as well as from
experience, both mine and others'. I've condensed
what I've learned into 10 "Golden Rules" for
running a successful optical dispensary within a
medical
practice. Presented below, these rules can be applied
to almost any dispensing situation and will serve
the seasoned professional as well as the hopeful
