Eyewear represents a big-ticket purchase for many
patients, so we've developed two programs to
help them safeguard their investment. The first
is an unconditional 30-day replacement policy.
No matter the reason, we will adjust, repair,
or replace (with equal value) the frame or lenses
within 30 days of the original dispensing date.
The 30-day free replacement policy is also tremendously
helpful for first-time progressive lens wearers
nervous about their ability to adapt. The 30-day
time frame encourages patients to act promptly,
if they are having problems. This limits our exposure
by letting patients know that they cannot expect
free services for an indefinite period of time.
To help with problems
that occur more than 30 days out, we offer a one-year
warranty for $25. This entitles the patient to have
broken eyeglasses repaired or replaced for 50% of
the normal retail price. This enables us to offer
patients a significant savings without losing money
ourselves. Patients who purchase the warranty can
have the $25 deducted from the price of their next
pair of glasses, if they don't use the warranty
during the 12 months following their purchase. This
not only creates a no-risk situation for patients,
it also gives them an incentive to come back to
the optical shop. |
