Dr. Sullivan is a graduate of Brown University
where he received both his A.B. and M.M.S.
degrees. He continued his medical education
at Harvard University where he received
his MD degree, completed his internship,
and did his ophthalmology residency at
the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary.
Dr. Sullivan founded Eye Health in 1977 and opened the
Greater New Bedford SurgiCenter in 1986. He is a member
of the American Medical Association, the American Academy
of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive
Surgery, the Outpatient Opthalmic Surgery Society, the American
Association of Ambulatory Surgery Centers, the Massachusetts
Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons and the New England
Ophthalmological Society.
Dr. Sullivan has been an innovative ophthalmic microsurgeon
for over 32 years. He was the first to perform intraocular
lens implantation and phacoemulsification in Southeastern
Massachusetts. In addition, he opened the first ambulatory
laser and ophthalmic center in Southeastern Massachusetts.
He has performed over 12,000 eye surgical procedures during
this period, including cataract and LASIK surgery. |
