Have had three appointments at this location and each time was pleasant. The ladies in the front are so polite and accommodating and the doctor was always prompt. Never waited more than 10 minutes after appointment time to be seen or had any bad experiences. I’ve even referred a few friends and family and they also love the location. Not sure why every other comment is so negative. More

Went here last week for an appointment had a wonder exam. EVC was able to give me a last minute procedure on my eye that I needed in time to deploy to Japan. I would suggest that military personnel go there for their opthalmology needs. No wait. I needed to order new contact lenses and new eyeglasses so I went to my Middletown Rhode Island Eye Health Vision Center office. The first lady at the counter, whose name I did not get quickly and efficiently, helped me get my contacts re-ordered and then stopped by the optician desk and met optician Jill Paasche. she was working with another lady at the counter and unfortunately I did not get her name that being said, Jill was an absolute pleasure and gave me excellent advice in choosing the proper lenses and frames. It was an excellent experience, and I couldn’t be happier, and I highly recommend that office and those people. The entire office has always been helpful, efficient and courteous.  They always go above and beyond. More

I was on my way to a walk in clinic due to obstruction in my left eye. Saw the sign for eye health and took a chance as an emergency walk in! I asked receptionist if they would see me. Good Morning, I wanted to share some feedback from my cousin who recently had an emergency squeeze in visit. My cousin was experiencing decreased vision and pain in his eyes. He came in to see Dr Richard. After his appointment, my cousin was leaving the office, and stated to me that he was told to go directly to the hospital. Jody Furtado faxed over the notes from the visit. A couple of hours later, a Dr. from the hospital called to get notes from the visit refaxed over. Sherry Prenda called down to Jody and she again faxed them. She then had Megan Cruz fax the notes from the downstairs fax machine to ensure that the hospital received the fax. Jody then called from home to follow up. My cousin reached out to me yesterday and stated the following in a text. " So I had a minor stroke and an ocular stroke. On medications, my heart is fine, and my brain is fine. Just got released from the hospital. I wanted to thank you and all of your co-workers at Eye Health. This emergency visit probably saved my life" Sometimes we can all get caught up in the day to day aspects of our jobs, and can forget that what we do here at Eye Health Vision can have a big impact on someone's life. I've been seeing Dr.Renee Reis for at least 15 yrs.if not longer. She is always upbeat, totally professional. She is highly intelligent n yet totally down to earth n humble. She speaks in layman's terms and always asks if there is anything further we need to discuss or have any questions. Dr Kenyon did an excellent job on the surgery on my cataract inflicted eyes. I now have 20/20 vision for the first time in my 60 years. While trying to unplug my vacuum I dropped it behind my washer & instinctively reached down to retrieve it. My right eye felt immediate pain as it hit the point of a hanging wire hook! Frightened by the potential damage to my eye I called Eye Health Vision requesting an appointment. My doctor wasn’t in but I was promptly received an appointment with Dr Reis & less than 2 hours after the injury was given a thorough exam of my eye that included dilation & photos of the eye interior. She also explained what possible outcomes could develop & which would require immediate attention. Overall the care was outstanding! Also, I was so lucky that my contact lens cushioned my eye & prevented the point from piercing it! More

In addition to the large assortment of brands, it was extra special to have so much help and care from the knowledgeable staff. Haven't been to the eye doctor in 7 years Patricia Lemieux made the experience very pleasant( except for the $1000 bill) but that is because I wanted progressive, transition, and the works. I’ve been seen here for years and the service is consistently great. Appointments can be scheduled quickly and the receptionists are very sweet at the desks. I saw Dr. Allard and it was such a positive experience, she was very thorough and since I have recurrent sty issues she referred me to Dr. Townsend, a well respected surgeon, for a lancing procedure. I popped down to their optical shop as my prescription had worsened and I needed new lenses. Ann helped me select my frames without being overly suggestive as I honestly can’t stand that. She was very knowledgeable yet actually gave me room to breathe and be comfortable with my selection. She had me in and out efficiently, around 15 minutes. I’m surprised though that plexiglass wasn’t installed as we are two years into a pandemic which spreads through close contact and these opticians are literally in your face taking measurements. Seeing as they were clearly short staffed, corporate should take note to further protect their patrons and employees. More

I had to take a moment to write a review for Eye Health Vision Center in Middletown, but especially for Dr Autumn Jackson. The whole process took under 45 minutes (and I had some allergy concerns in addition to my contact lens exam), they had me in the room within 10 minutes. Dr. Jackson is so incredibly sweet and helpful. Nobody pressured me to buy anything in house which was nice. I ended up buying contacts online because of a rebate and Eye Health validated my prescription with that website under 24 hours after I ordered which was also awesome. The vision I had lost has been restored. Dr Westerfeld is brilliant, kind & patient. This office is run well: the women on the phones are lovely & helpful, the front desk is friendly & efficient, and the techs are all great. Thrilled with their diagnostic scanning equipment. I had both cataracts removed . Of course I was scared but the entire eye team were wonderful . The procedure didn’t hurt at all - just the opposite . I was referred to Dr. Westerfeld by my local Eye Dr who diagnosed me with a detached retina during my annual eye exam in July 2019. Dr. Westerfeld scheduled me the next day for surgery. Recently, I had a small scare with my vision. It seemed blurry and I needed an appt. ASAP. I showed up without calling and was immediately treated at the desk with compassion and efficiency. The receptionist got me in promptly and gave me a sense of ease at a rather stressful time. The tech was amazing as well. She was efficient and seemed to really care about my eye. The Doctor showed up almost immediately after the Tech and proceeded to give me a thorough exam! I have now sent my family to them as well! Iwent to Dr. Townsend few years ago, can't say enough good things about the Dr.I had problems with my eyes dry eyes, ( this particular problem was solved by him I am so thankful. The condition I had was my eyes ran for 2 years know one can imagine wiping your eyes every day using a 100 tissues. I had other issues and he has them under control. If you go for a visit you will not need to see another Doctor.He has a beyond 5 star rating.I have gone to other Orthomolgist and was diagnosed incorrectly, or put me on medication that did not correct problem.I trust him completely, who would want to go through life without eye vision. I have been coming here (Fairhaven office) for 20 years, since we moved back to town in 2020.  The office staff are very helpful and thorough, and Dr. Ronald Mastrolia is very professional and engaging, and I always learn new things when I speak with him.  I had concerns about macular degeneration (tested positive on both sides via 23 &Me DNA test), and he   spent time discussing this with me.  I felt so much better after my eye exam.  I've never had a negative experience here.  All the staff were also very accommodating and patient with my son who has significant mental health issues.
